10 Weeks

Today Josh and I went in for my 10 week visit. It was a very special appointment because we got to hear the baby's heart beat. First, I do have to say that while waiting in the waiting room Josh had to say "It smells like pregnant people in here!" What do pregnant people smell like?!?! I just stared at him with confusion. He's slightly clueless. Then, while in the Dr's room waiting for the doctor he was very mesmorized my the posters on the wall. You would think he was a 13 year old boy in health class. It was very hilarious!! Now back to the ral appointment. The heart beat was very cool. Everything I expect it to be, a lub-dub-swishy-sloshy sound. It was beating 180 beats, which is considered fast. Which to some people mean girl, but the Chinese calendar say I'm having a boy... so I guess we'll have to wait another 10 weeks to be sure. It was so weird knowing that there is something really alive in my belly. I can't wait for my future appointments and to watch our baby grow... along with my tummy ha!!
Up to this point my pregnancy has been ok. I started getting very nauseas and sick at 6 weeks. All day long and not knowing what I could and couldn't eat. It was awful! I thought for sure it was getting better but today Josh and I went to Pzza Factory and yep that all came back up!! I have to add that my list with tuna, lasagna, garlic bread and the occasional tooth brushing in the morning. I keep telling myself that so many women have it worse than I do so I try to keep positive about it. I have lived off Tums for the past 10 weeks I have surely kept them in business!! I do have to say that I am really greatful that my pants still fit!! I feel like I am getting bigger but my clothes still fit and I have lost weight not much and not by the choice I'd like to. But I am always looking for things that I can wear and am very greatful for the styles being so flowy and big.
I am also very greatful for my hubby Josh. I have been an emotional roller coaster for the past 10 weeks. He has put up with my moodiness and sickness so well. I keep telling him that the bad trimester is almost over and we can get back to cuddling and going out and enjoying each other. I feel so bad and know I am being a beast but sometimes I just can't help it. I love him so much and as much as I say I have his demon baby in me I don't mean it. I truely love him and this baby with all my heart. He is going to make a great dad!!

PREGNANT

If you haven't already heard... yes I am pregnant!! And when you read my next post you'll understand that Josh and I had a very good time in Mexico!! We are joking that our baby will come out brown and with a shot of Tequilla!!
Josh and I have been wanting to start a family for some time but wanted to have one last amazing trip with no responsibilities. I went off my IUD January 9 and found out I was pregnant February 1- yes Super Bowl Sunday!! I was very anxious to take a test but knew that it was early but took one anyways. The first test I took was a very faint blue positive line. I wasn't sure if it was really there or if I was imagining it there because I wanted it there. So I went back to the store and bought a dummy proof kind that said "pregnant" or "not pregnant" and sure enough... "pregnant"! My sister was the first one I called and I kinda freaked out when I said it out loud. I was so excited and freaked out at the same time. Was I really ready for this? Of course that day I had to go to a Super Bowl party at my in laws (all without Josh, he was at work). I'm not good at holding secrets and I for sure thought I was going to spill the beans but I held it! Josh wasn't going to be home for another 10 days and it killed me every time I talked to him on the phone but I just couldn't tell him that way, I had to see his face. So I came up with telling him on Valentine's Day. I know! I know! I had to hold it for 4 more days while he was home!! It was so tough. For Valentine's day we went to my favorite restuarant The Melting Pot. I wrapped up my postive test in a box and gave it to him. He was so excited!! He said he knew (yeah right that dang ego of his!) but I knew he was surprised.
After dinner we went to Build-a-Bear and each picked out and built a bear for our parents. We bought t-shirts and I ironed on letters that said "Dress Me For A Grandbaby". Our parents were so shocked but in a good way. They are very excited. All my dad cares is that we don't neglect our first children... our puppies!!

Long Awaited Update

I know! I know! I am terrible at this blog thing! I have just been so busy lately and before I knew it Christmas was here and gone, Cancun was here and gone and now we are already well into March!! I am so sorry. I was going to post a few different blogs about Christmas, sledding, New Years and our Cancun trip but I decided that it would be so much easier to start fresh. But I have to mention our Cancun trip... that's how it all happened!!

In January Josh and I went to Cancun with 8 of our bestest friends. We had the time of our lifes!! Sleeping on the beach all day, playing beach volleyball, eating as mcuh as our tummy's would allow!! It was such a blast going with such great friends. Here are some pics of our trip. Sorry that I am not going to expand on our trip or I'd be here all night!! And thanks to the tequilla I will be off of the Mexican poison for 9 months plus!!!! WINK! WINK!

Black Friday

I am posting this in hopes that there are people out there as crazy as my mom and I! As you know yesterday was Black Friday, the busiest day of shopping of the year. As I was looking through the ads on Thanksgiving I really didn't notice much that I needed but my mom and I go out every year regardless. So we headed out to Kohl's at 2:30 a.m... yes in the morning!! We stood in line for an hour and pushed our way through the doors at 4. The funny thing is we bought stuff that we could normally get on any other day, we just think its fun!! One thing we learned is Kohl's only has 4 checking stands so standing in line for 1 hour and 40 minutes was not fun!! Since we were already up we decided to get all of our shopping done. We went to Target, numerous stores at the mall, Cabela's pretty much everywhere you can think of!! After 14 1/2 hours of shopping I was beat!! I thank my hubby Josh for letting me go have a fun day... he did get his butt kicked and beat yesterday but it wasn't by shoppers it was by Guitar Hero!!! He had quite the productive day!!!

TWILIGHT

My oh my!! I can't even begin to explain how much I loved the movie Twilight! I guess so much that I have seen it twice so far and plan to go again and again. Everything lived up to my expectations. I do agree that not everyone in the movie was the way I imagined them to be but there would be no way to make everyone happy. I was so extremely impressed by Rob Pattison, he plays Edward for you that do not know. He was very talented and very, very good looking. A few days ago I was watching a behind the scenes of Twilight and found out that not only does he play the guitar and really plays the piano- just like the book- and he sings!!! And very good at that. If you haven't heard him I suggest you get the movie soundtrack its amazing!!
I know I completely bashed the book when it first came out. I thought it was going to be some lame high school love story and vampires... come on get serious... but it is truely my favorite series and it was nothing like what I expected, it was so much more. So for you that haven't jumped onto the band wagon please do!! It's so worth it!!

Haunted Houses, Mice and Vampires!!

Last weekend my girl friends and I went to a haunted house. I was so excited!! I had not been to one since I was in high school. Well let me just tell you I am NOT in high school any more!! It was so scary! I just huddled in the back of the group held on so tight (sorry Tai) and closed my eyes. I am so thankful that Tiffany was brave enough to lead us through. I never thought I'd be too old for a haunted house, but when you're about 10 minutes in to it and are looking for the closest emergency exit... YOU'RE TOO OLD!!!!

Onto my next adventure. The other night I was sitting peacefully watching t.v. with Rufus. All of a sudden the most rotten, disgusting, little vermin ran out from under my fireplace!!!! Yep that's right a mouse! Of course Josh just had to be out of town (I swear I hate hunting season!!!) I jumped up onto the couch as fast as I could and called my mom. She just laughed at me and told me to go buy mouse traps the next day. Well I couldn't wait til the next day so I ran to my neighbors (given it is 10'o'clock at night). I scared them half to death and then when I told them it was a mouse, they also laughed! (I don't understand why mice makes people laugh, maybe because it's not in their house!) My awsome neighbor came over a put a sticky pad down next to my couch. A few minutes later I saw the mouse again!!! It ran back into the fireplace, so I moved the pad and went to bed. (Of course lining a towel under my bedroom door so nothing could get in!) The next morning I came downstairs to find the sticky pad missing!!! Yep that's right the dang thing must be bionic because it drug it into the fireplace and managed to escape! I was so freaked out. I ran right to Home Depot and bought poison, 4 traps, a sticky pad, and a mouse house trap that electrocutes them when they run in it. (I know it sounds cruel but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do) Thanks to my brother-in-law setting up all my traps I have now caught 2 mice!!! That is 2 more than I ever wanted to catch!!!! And thanks to my awsome neighbors I never had to touch the traps!! I officially HATE mice!

I know the next heading sounds kind of frightening as well, vampires. But this is actually a very good thing. If you are a Twilight freak like I am, then you would know that movie tickets went on sale. Of course my friends and I jumped on it. We are going November 22. It can't come fast enough. I get so excited every time I see the trailer. If you haven't read the books I highly suggest it. And fast!

Zoo

Last week my ma and I took my nephews to the zoo. We had such a fun time!!! At first it rained just a little bit but it didn't damper us. It slightly makes me sad that the zoo doesn't have as many animals when I was little but it was still fun!

Here's the new Merry-Go-Round... not so fun kinda made me sick!
The white alligator is still there. He was actually moving, it was neat.

This is one on the cutest pics ever. Two black bears cuddleing up. The one on the bottom (assuming the girl, no guy would ever let that happen ha ha!) kept biting him to get off but gave after a while. As we always do!

Three of the cutest animals at the zoo!!

The boys are getting so big!!

Missing: 2 wild animals escaped from zoo!

What a life!!
