Black Friday

I am posting this in hopes that there are people out there as crazy as my mom and I! As you know yesterday was Black Friday, the busiest day of shopping of the year. As I was looking through the ads on Thanksgiving I really didn't notice much that I needed but my mom and I go out every year regardless. So we headed out to Kohl's at 2:30 a.m... yes in the morning!! We stood in line for an hour and pushed our way through the doors at 4. The funny thing is we bought stuff that we could normally get on any other day, we just think its fun!! One thing we learned is Kohl's only has 4 checking stands so standing in line for 1 hour and 40 minutes was not fun!! Since we were already up we decided to get all of our shopping done. We went to Target, numerous stores at the mall, Cabela's pretty much everywhere you can think of!! After 14 1/2 hours of shopping I was beat!! I thank my hubby Josh for letting me go have a fun day... he did get his butt kicked and beat yesterday but it wasn't by shoppers it was by Guitar Hero!!! He had quite the productive day!!!

TWILIGHT

My oh my!! I can't even begin to explain how much I loved the movie Twilight! I guess so much that I have seen it twice so far and plan to go again and again. Everything lived up to my expectations. I do agree that not everyone in the movie was the way I imagined them to be but there would be no way to make everyone happy. I was so extremely impressed by Rob Pattison, he plays Edward for you that do not know. He was very talented and very, very good looking. A few days ago I was watching a behind the scenes of Twilight and found out that not only does he play the guitar and really plays the piano- just like the book- and he sings!!! And very good at that. If you haven't heard him I suggest you get the movie soundtrack its amazing!!
I know I completely bashed the book when it first came out. I thought it was going to be some lame high school love story and vampires... come on get serious... but it is truely my favorite series and it was nothing like what I expected, it was so much more. So for you that haven't jumped onto the band wagon please do!! It's so worth it!!

Haunted Houses, Mice and Vampires!!

Last weekend my girl friends and I went to a haunted house. I was so excited!! I had not been to one since I was in high school. Well let me just tell you I am NOT in high school any more!! It was so scary! I just huddled in the back of the group held on so tight (sorry Tai) and closed my eyes. I am so thankful that Tiffany was brave enough to lead us through. I never thought I'd be too old for a haunted house, but when you're about 10 minutes in to it and are looking for the closest emergency exit... YOU'RE TOO OLD!!!!

Onto my next adventure. The other night I was sitting peacefully watching t.v. with Rufus. All of a sudden the most rotten, disgusting, little vermin ran out from under my fireplace!!!! Yep that's right a mouse! Of course Josh just had to be out of town (I swear I hate hunting season!!!) I jumped up onto the couch as fast as I could and called my mom. She just laughed at me and told me to go buy mouse traps the next day. Well I couldn't wait til the next day so I ran to my neighbors (given it is 10'o'clock at night). I scared them half to death and then when I told them it was a mouse, they also laughed! (I don't understand why mice makes people laugh, maybe because it's not in their house!) My awsome neighbor came over a put a sticky pad down next to my couch. A few minutes later I saw the mouse again!!! It ran back into the fireplace, so I moved the pad and went to bed. (Of course lining a towel under my bedroom door so nothing could get in!) The next morning I came downstairs to find the sticky pad missing!!! Yep that's right the dang thing must be bionic because it drug it into the fireplace and managed to escape! I was so freaked out. I ran right to Home Depot and bought poison, 4 traps, a sticky pad, and a mouse house trap that electrocutes them when they run in it. (I know it sounds cruel but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do) Thanks to my brother-in-law setting up all my traps I have now caught 2 mice!!! That is 2 more than I ever wanted to catch!!!! And thanks to my awsome neighbors I never had to touch the traps!! I officially HATE mice!

I know the next heading sounds kind of frightening as well, vampires. But this is actually a very good thing. If you are a Twilight freak like I am, then you would know that movie tickets went on sale. Of course my friends and I jumped on it. We are going November 22. It can't come fast enough. I get so excited every time I see the trailer. If you haven't read the books I highly suggest it. And fast!

Zoo

Last week my ma and I took my nephews to the zoo. We had such a fun time!!! At first it rained just a little bit but it didn't damper us. It slightly makes me sad that the zoo doesn't have as many animals when I was little but it was still fun!

Here's the new Merry-Go-Round... not so fun kinda made me sick!
The white alligator is still there. He was actually moving, it was neat.

This is one on the cutest pics ever. Two black bears cuddleing up. The one on the bottom (assuming the girl, no guy would ever let that happen ha ha!) kept biting him to get off but gave after a while. As we always do!

Three of the cutest animals at the zoo!!

The boys are getting so big!!

Missing: 2 wild animals escaped from zoo!

What a life!!

Where's My Hubby... Oh Yeah It's Hunting Season

I've gotten used to the fact that Josh works for 2 weeks away from home and I'm totally fine with it. But through the months of September to November I consider myself abandonded!! First Josh went deer hunting.. no luck. Then went to work and came back to go elk hunting.. again no luck. The next time Josh comes home he will be going on his annual North Dakota trip. His dad, cousin and uncle go every year to pheasant hunt. (I personally think it's an excuse to drink... shoot a gun... and drink some more.) I went up deer hunting with Josh for 1 night and that was enough for me. I love to go hunting and camping just not like that. It was very beautiful though.
When I go hunting, usually with my dad, we generally pull right up to the animal and I ALWAYS bring something home!!! Hee hee!! I have to give my hubby a hard time. This year I didn't draw out on anything so I'm not going. Last year was very fun with my dad. I got to shoot my antelope that I'd been waiting for 7 years to shoot. It was such a fun experience. I shot it in the middle of a cow herd and when they saw us pull up in a white truck they ran for miles, they thought we were the farmer feeding them. It was hilarious!!!
I'm very greatful I have friends and family close this time of year so I am not completely bored. I'm on a house deep cleaning project now, I think I've bitten more off than I can chew!! Wish me luck!!

Rest In Peace Cooper

Thursday morning my next door neighbor, 4 year old Cooper, was hit and killed by a car. He and his mom were walking his older brother to the bus stop when a 15 year old driver struck him. At first I had very mixed emotions. It went from sad to numb to angry and pissed off to confused to greatful. I know everything happens for a reason but it is very hard to understand why certain things happen. My thoughts and prayers go out to both families who will be effected by this tragedy for the rest of their lives. Josh and I love the boys of this family. We will miss him greatly.

It is so sad that something like this has to happen for me to truly understand how blessed I am. I have so many things to be greatful for and I often take them for granted. Life is so unpredictable and things can happen so unexpectedly. Here are just a few of the things I am greatful for.

1. Josh- He works harder than anyone I know. He is very patient with me through all my craziness. He is so thoughtful, sweet, funny and loving. I can't wait to start a family with him. He is gong to be a great father.

2. Family- I couldn't ask for better parents. They have raised me so great. I appreciate everything they did and still do for me. I would be lost without them.

The Nielsen clan- a family I aspire to become. My sister seems to have everything under control. I can tell they have so much love for each other. And of course they have the cutest kids!! I love to spoil them all.

My in-laws are absolutely wonderful. I am thankful I married into such a great family. They have welcomed me with open arms into their family.
Jenna, my sis in law, is like my own sister. We have become so close I feel I can talk to her about anything. I am so happy that we get along so great. I can't wait til she gets her butt back home.

3. Friends- I have the best friends in the entire world. They have been there for me through ups

and downs. I relie on them for so much, more than they know.

4. Health- I am greatful that myself and those I love are healthy, besides my cough (ha, ha). I would hate to see any of us have to struggle with health issues.

I am so greatful for so much more than those listed but I feel I could be so happy with all of those things listed above. Material things don't matter. Those things don't make life worth it. I am still striving to become the person I truly want to be. I want to thank all of you for helping me. I love you all!!

I'm not much of a country fan but I went to Tim Mcgraw at USAUNA on friday night. I had the best time ever. I sang along with some songs and pretended I knew the rest!! I dont know how I ever got back to the car up that big hill but I was so glad I finally got my pancakes!!

It truely showed me that I have real friends. No matter where we are or what we are doing we always have a good time.

And I did learn a country phrase.... "Ride 'em cowboy!!!"
