HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAU

Beau turned 1!!!!!! I can't believe my little man in 1 already. I feel like it was just yesterday that I found out that I was pregnant and now my son is 1. Of course I had to throw him a big party, "Beau's Barnyard Bash". I had such a fun time planning his party. I know he won't remember any of it, but I will!!!

We had the party at the clubhouse in our neighborhood so all the kids could run around and the adults could have a place to hang out. And since it was the beginning of October I didn't want to have it outside and chance the weather.

I went to Dippidee, my favorite bakery in AF and had them make Beau's cake. The kids had the animal cupcakes and we cut up the barn for the adults. After getting thru the fondont, it was REALLY good!!

This was Beau's "Smash Cake". It turned out soooo cute!!

CAKE TIME!!! At first, Beau didn't know what to do with his cake. I had to dig in for him before he realized it was ok. Even then he had more fun with the letters on his cake then the actual cake.

All of Beau's cousins were VERY willing to help him open his presents!!! He was very confused why he couldn't play with the toy once he opened it. But once they were all opened, we put them together and the kids had a blast!! He got so many toys that I had to go get a new ottoman to hold them in!! He is so spoiled!!!

Beau got this toy where air blows balls thru the top of it and cute little Bailey stuck her head in the air. It was SO funny!!!

Unfortunately, Josh couldn't be here for the actual party but was for Beau's birthday. We had our own little family party and I was so happy Josh got to celebrate with us. Thanks to everyone for making my little Boogers first birthday so memorable. Now... what to do next year??????

At his 1 year checkup Beau weighed in at 20 pounds- which is less than he weighed at his 9 month checkup!! Guess we all can't be that lucky!! He is still a pretty little guy but with big cheeks and ALOT of hair. He has had to have 2 hair cuts already and is due for another one. Here are some other things Beau is up to:
     * Crawling up AND down stairs
     * Pushing toys over to the couch to use them to step up on and crawl onto the couch
     * Can wave bye-bye
     * Claps at EVERYTHING
     * LOVES to dance. Anytime any music comes on he will start to bounce and dance!! We    
        have a very fun time in the car together!!!
     * Can say 'mama', 'dada', 'ball', 'hi', 'huh' and I think 'doggie'
     * Loves our dogs, if only he would keep his mouth closed when giving them kisses
     * Can give kisses
     * Can give high-fives
     * Eats everything especially if he sees you eating it
     * Still in size 3 diapers
     * Can wear sizes between 9-18 months depending on what it is
     * Has a hard time with shoes because his feet are so chubby
     * Sleeps thru the night. When he does wake up in the morning, he will play in his crib for 
        about 30 minutes. It's so funny to listen to him on the monitor. Then when I walk into his
        room, he hides as if he is embarressed!!
     * Has to have something in each hand at all times. And if there is something else he wants, 
        he will try to pick it up with his mouth.   
     * Walking along furniture and walks when pushing his toys, but not very interested to do it on
        his own
     * Likes to poke other kids in the face!!!
     * Loves to be outside, not sure what we are going to do this winter!!!
     * Knows what "NO" means and follows it pretty good
     * Throws tantrums already!! He will give his pouty face, throw his forehead on the floor and 
        bawl and roll all over the floor. Its actually pretty funny.
     * Has 4 teeth- 2 on bottom and 2 on top- with a HUGE gap!!
     * His eyes still haven't chosen a color. Somedays they are blue-like his daddy and others
        green-like mine.

He is learning new things everyday. It suprises me how much he grows and with the things he does. He is always making me laugh and is the light of my life!! We love our little Boogers!!!
