I am now 32 weeks pregnant. I can’t believe how fast it has gone by. I have 2 months jammed packed with showers, work and getting everything ready before he arrives. These 8 weeks are going to fly by. I am now going to my doctors every 2 weeks. Everything is right on track. The baby’s heart beat is normal, 150, like it has been the whole time. I am measuring a little big, which doesn’t surprise me… Beau has gotten some BIG genes with me and Josh!!! I am staying with in the normal weight range, for now, I can’t help eating all the time. I do feel like a turkey though. My belly button is ready to pop out anytime- just like a tukey timer. I am feeling pretty good. I just get tired easily and can’t do things I used to or for as long. Beau is such a mover. Every night around 7 until I go to bed he tosses and turns. For the first little while it’s amazing to watch my belly poke out and move around and take on different shapes but after a while he really makes me nauseas. I’ve put him in time out numerous times!! The only thing I wish I could do better is sleep. I can’t get comfortable for the life of me. And when I get half way there, uh I have to pee!!! It’s all ok though, I’ve told myself I’m going to be tired for the rest of my life so I’m getting used to it.
I know I promised a belly picture, one better than the picture in our vacation post, but I haven’t had the time. I know it’s sad. BUT I did schedule my pregnancy pictures for next Monday and am so excited for it!!! I will definitely post those pictures when I get them back.
Here are a few pictures of the nursery, which is pretty much done. I loved how it turned out. The decor is vintage classic Winnie the Pooh. The crib was Josh's when he was little. I was slightly nervous about the condition becasue it was so old but it is in perfect shape. Not only is it a very nice crib it has sentimental value. I can’t wait to spend all my time in there with out little bundle of joy.
Josh has picked up yet another hobby!! He has joined a baseball league. He has been wanting to do this for a while now and finally found a league he could play in. He is now a Salt Lake Devil. Because of his work schedule, it will be a little hard but the coach said they’d work everything out. He had his first game last Tuesday and I was a wreck!! I can’t believe how nervous I was. Josh had been running and going to the batting cages everyday for weeks getting ready. He even got an early birthday present; a new bat, new gloves, new pants, new sliding shorts and a new hat!! (And boys think we ask for a lot!) I was so impressed with Josh playing!! He played 1st base the whole game and did so great. He hit amazing as well. He can still work on his running but he defiantly kept up. I can’t wait to go to more of his games.
On August 6th Josh and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. I can’t believe it has been that long. We decided to keep it really low key this year. Josh cooked dinner for the 2 of us. I do have to say I was really surprised at what a good job he did. He usually tries to go over board but did everything perfect. He cooked stuffed peppers, corn on the cob and then had dessert. After dinner we just cuddled up on the couch and watched a movie. It was so nice to have just the 2 of us together. Not having to worry about dinner reservations or gifts. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband. I appreciate everything he does for our family. I’ve never known anyone who works as hard as he does or who does as much laundry!!! I love you so much babe and can’t wait for the next 40 years with you.
A few weeks ago Josh and I decided to go on a little weekend vacation to get away. My dad had sent us a list of some places to try out. We decided to make a loop through Nevada to Wendover to Tooele and back home.
Our first stop, after the cheese factory to get some fantastic squeaky cheese, was Lehman Caves. I was really excited about this. It had been forever since I had been to Timpanogos Caves and have wanted to go back, but knew this summer I wouldn’t be able to make the hike. The Lehman Caves are very similar just without the hike. It was so crazy to because they are in the middle of no where!! Here are some pictures of the formations inside the caves. Josh and I kept giggling because he kept pointing out “naughty” shaped formations!! Yeah we’re really mature! We also kept laughing at our tour guide. I know people that work in the forest place and outdoors can be a little earthy and green but she was over the top. She took her job very seriously!!
After our cave tour we drove to Ely, Nevada. WHY?!?!? I have no idea. Ely was the dumpiest town I had ever seen in my life!! It took us all of about 2.5 minutes to drive through. At one edge of town Josh and I saw a sign that said VIP Massage. We were joking about what that could be… come to find out it really was what we were thinking!! If only we had looked next door at The Doll House… the town brothel!! It was hilarious!! While we were there we went on a dinner train ride. The description and pictures on line made it seem so cool but when in fact it sucked!! For what we paid we should’ve gotten steak and lobster but instead go dry chicken and brisket cooked from some trailer lady. Josh and I were very glad we were still full from Subway a few hours earlier! We got sat at a table with a couple who actually lived in Ely… and yes they were crazy. They suggested we go to the craft fair that was in town for the weekend… yeah Josh and I jumped right on that!! Overall, we should have driven straight to Wendover.
The next morning we drove to Wendover, had brunch and gambled just a bit. Then drove over to Tooele to Skull Valley, where I would be hunting. It was so far out there. It was a nice drive to scout out where we’d be going. Unfortunately, a week after we were there, the fire that was close to Tooele burned the land that I was going to be hunting on. We are all bummed out but can’t do much about it. We are still waiting to see what the results are about hunting.
Josh and I are very glad we got to get away for a few days. We are both glad to say we’ve been there, done that because I doubt we will ever go back!!!
