My life has been filled with all sorts of exciting things in preparation for little Beau.
2 weeks ago I got my maternity pictures taken and am finally posting them. Sorry for the delay. I have been super busy. My sisters friend Erin has her own photography business and did such a great job. We tried to go up the canyon but the weather wasn't cooperating very much so we ended up at Wheeler Farm. She is also going to be doing my newborn pics as well. She is pregnant and is scheduled to have her baby on October 15- the day after my due date- so we'll definitely have to work it out.
So far I have had 3 showers and have 3 more to go!! Beau and I feel so spoiled! We have gotten so much stuff. I swear I am going to have to dress Beau in 2-3 outfits a day so he can wear all of his clothes. I want to thank my mom and sister; my mother in law andsister in law; and my girl friends for throwing me showers so far. I've got 2 work showers and a neighborhood shower coming soon. I appreciate all of the love and support we are receiving.
I am now 36 weeks pregnant and am starting to feel the end of pregnancy that most people say they have. I went from feeling really good to really tired and crampy. On Tuesday I am pretty sure I experienced my first set of contractions. My back had been hurting for a few days and I figured it was just because I was on my feet all day from work. But now I am sure that it is back labor. I was getting cramps and all hot and sweaty. It wasn't too bad where I needed to leave work or anything but it was just different. I am feeling fine today, just tired. Beau is still moving around like crazy. At my last visit his heart beat was great and I am measuring a little big- which again, I'm not surprised!! I am planning on a 9 pound baby!! I am still working full time, which a lot of people think I am crazy but in fact it has helped the time go by fast for me. I also think that its helped me stay feeling really good. I know if I didn't have to get up and go to work I'd be so lazy and sleep all day and never get anything done. I am now going to the Dr's every week. On Monday he will check to see the position of the baby and to see if I anything is happening as far as labor. As much as I want little Beau here now, I am in no way ready for him! I still haven't finished all my nesting projects. I also haven't finished my child birth classes. I have loved going to them. The teacher is absolutely wonderful. It is very informative. There are so many things I wouldn't even think about doing that need to be done and make things easier for me when I do need to go to the hospital.
It's coming down to the wire and Josh and I will be parents before we know it. We are both so excited. Because of Josh's job, we're not sure if he will be here when I go into labor. Being induced early isn't an option so we will just leave it up to nature. I've got my mom and sister to be my coaches if Josh doesn't make it. I hope things work out that he will be here, I know it would mean a lot to him.I will try to keep you all updated on my progress sooner than I go into labor!! Thanks to everyone for their love and support for our growing family.
